DISASTER RELIEF

As you may already know, parts of Southeast Asia has been hard hit by natural catastrophes. The countries affected are Indonesia, Philippines and Samoa. Through video footage the devastation is unbearable. Many lives were lost and many more lives will change as they face an uncertain future. The "Healing Touch" has always made an effort to help those in need. I'm asking family and friends to participate by donating canned goods, personal hygiene products, clothing (any kind: new or used), old cell phones, etc. Money donations are also accepted. We can arrange pick up at your home/business location or dropped of at WNRI studio under "Healing Touch Disaster Relief". We should all make a concerted effort to console those in need. Off to a scary start!

Today on the "Healing Touch" I talked about mythical and mystical creatures as a trbute to month-long spooky October. Mermaids, unicorns, trolls, leperchauns, pixies, OH MY!!! Do you believe? Some cultures are fully immersed in folklore and myth, while others swear by superstitions. Whatever your belief system, superstitions and myths have shaped our actions and thoughts.

On September 3rd, acclaimed spiritual channeler, Roland Comtois, was my guest on the "Healing Touch". This wonderful man talked about his very first book, "And Then There Was Heaven". Roland spoke about life changing experiences that prompted him to put them on paper and share with the world. The book is profoundly spiritual with love, hope and faith spread in each story. Gigi Desaulniers, proprietor of Gigi's Global Specialty Art and Gifts was on September 10th. Gigi has an exciting blend of artwork at her store located on 68 South Main St., Woonsocket, RI 02895. Beautifully displayed are works from various regional artists - canvas to jewelry, sewing to yoga, but most impressively is the organization she founded. IPAE ( Institute for Poverty Awareness and Education) is an organization that assists with micro loans for women in India. Opportunity awaits at the 31st Woonsocket Autumnfest - this annual three day festival brings in hundreds of thousands of people. The Autumnfest attracts the masses because admission and parking is free, exhibitors include consumer vendors, arts & crafts, food vendors, carnival rides, kids section, beer garden, on going music and dance entertainment, an enormous parade and high prized raffles. This is one of the largest festivals in New England. "Healing Touch Wellness" has a large vendor space for retail, therapy and card readers. The festival is on the Columbus Day weekend - Oct. 10,11 & 12. This event is in lieu of the Halloween Spooktacular which will be scheduled for next fall. This is a high volume event and booth space is limited therefore first come-first serve. Massive advertising from newspapers, internet, radio, Channel 12 and Channel 15 RI statewide interconnet. "Cinnabar" for wealth and finances

On Thursday's show (Aug. 13th) I shared with the listeners healing qualities of Red Jasper and Cinnabar crystals. The latter of the two also known as "merchant's stone" because it has the ability to enhance wealth and business pursuits. Cinnabar can help with obesity, fertility and aggression.
